Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that the robot tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However robot vacuums reviews of the history of cleaning on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.
The only issue I have found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the quality of its performance.

Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. robot vacuums reviews is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with several features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
